Variant offers a variety of services, from simple one or two page web sites to multiple page web sites, logo creation, flash movies, and more. Below is the process we take in order to complete your project in a timely and organized fashion.
The first step for Variant is to understand your particular business, your mission, your reputation, and your expectations. We discuss how the Internet will assist you in reaching your goals and milestones. We may assist in logo creation, data-conversion, and analysis of curent marketing materials.
A detailed step-by-step proposal that outlines the stages and the various processes taken to move from the initial meeting to launch of the site is generated. The SOW contains checklists and timelines, travel (if applicable), and client expectations. You are also given a contract that defines the numerous stages, hourly rates and expected costs. Final project cost is guaranteed to 10% of the project bid exclusion of modifications to the original SOW.
Initial design, flow, color-combinations, logo ideas (if applicable), etc. are created by the in-house Variant graphics deveision. The design(s) are posted for your review. Usually, two distinct designsare presented as per the SOW. Normally, a client will choose a combination of aspects form both designs for their final web "look".
Once the final "look" of the web site is determined, we begin the stage of developing the actual site. The level of detail and content of each site determines the duration necessary for this process. However, most of our clients sites can be completed within one month at which point we move to the Analysis / Testing phase.
Analysis and testing of the site are performed to insure quality standards.
Upon completion of the Analysis / Testing phase the web site is is considered to be complete and will be launched. It is at this point listing with specific search engines will be completed.
Maintenance of a web site is critical to every business. That is why Variant includes basic maintenance of the web site for the first year with each new client contract.
